The place

Unstaffed DNT Drammen og Omegn hut at 158 m on the Bragernesåsen above Drammen town centre. A short walk from the centre, reached via 800 m of gravel track from the Sturla house car park. Five bunks: one family bunk bed and two single bunk beds. Kitchen equipped for a group of up to twelve people, hearth and communal areas, outdoor hand pump (non-potable water, bring your own drinking water). Dogs not allowed. Locked with a code, access sent by SMS after booking. Whole-hut rental only, check-in 2 pm, check-out 1 pm. Advance booking via the DNT system. On-site activities: rope course, nature trails, small emergency gapahuk (lean-to shelter). Extensive trail network in the Hamborgstrømskogen and Finnemarka.
