The place

Unstaffed DNT cabin at 645 m in Vang allmenning (Hamar, Innlandet, Norway), about 1.5 km north of Bringbusetra along the Rondanestien trail. Capacity for 6 people in bunk beds (double lower / single upper). Wood stove, solar panels with USB charging, propane cooking equipment, basic utensils. Since June 2026, sheets/pillows/duvet covers must be brought. Summer access: road to Bringbu via Gåsbu (30 km), then Rondanestien on foot. Winter access: marked trails to Raufjellet, last 300 m on skis. Closed from Easter Monday (6 April) to 18 June to protect wild reindeer calving. Preferential rates for DNT members. Payment via the DNT app or pre-booking with Hamar og Hedemarken Turistforening.
