Habert des Sabottes

The place

Unguarded habert at 1760 m in the Belledonne massif (Saint-Mury, Isère). Access via a trail 200 m before the Chalet du Pré Mollard, on the left toward the Lac de la Sitre via Bognon, about 1h15. Outdoor setup: small enclosure with a large stone table surrounded by benches and a small fire pit. Indoor equipment: stove, saw, axe, utensils, saucepan, candles, matches. In winter, the water from the alpine pastures is shut off to prevent freezing.
