The place

Sleeping spots: 4 Spots on mattresses: 1 Hut fully restored in 2010 (see link). Closed and reserved for hunters. A small area to the left of the main façade, preceded by an awning, has been fitted out with the bare minimum to serve as an emergency shelter for hikers. Raised bunk platform with room for 4 sleepers (one foam mattress), plus 4 chairs and that's it, no table, no heating. Usable at a pinch if you get lost or it's too late to climb up to the hut (Refuge de la Perrière). A fountain and outdoor latrines * Mobile signal Moderate signal (Orange), much weaker than at the hut 200 m higher up (and out of the forest), but it works * - either 1 km via rough trails from the Refuge de la Perrière, heading SW, - or from the last hairpin bend before reaching the Val Pelouse parking area.
