The place

Hizha Mazalat (mountain hut) located at 1521 m on the main ridge in the Mandrishte sector, Stara Planina range in Bulgaria. Massive two-story building with thirty-four beds, complemented by two wooden bungalows accommodating thirty additional people (total capacity of about sixty-four beds). Facilities: indoor and outdoor sanitary facilities, tourist kitchen with dining area, water supply, electricity from a generator, solid-fuel stoves for heating. On the Kom-Emine transbalkan route, the Bulgarian section of the European E3 trail. Online presence (Facebook, Instagram), panoramic webcam over the neighboring peaks, organized guided outings.
