The place

A hut of the Alpenverein Salzburg in the Tennengebirge (Abtenau municipality), at 1,375 m elevation. Capacity for 14 on mattresses (no traditional beds). Self-service, open year-round, occasional supervision, family-friendly setup. Walking access: 2 hours from Leitenhausen, 2.5 hours from Annaberg, 3.5 hours from Abtenau. Public transport: Leitenhaus stop or Abtenau/Golling stations. Parking at Leitenhaus. Unlocked emergency shelter and additional wooden cabin; no dedicated Winterraum.
