The place
Self-catering hut (Selbstversorgerhütte) of the DAV (Deutscher Alpenverein, Munich-Oberland sections), located at 948 m on the alpine pastures above Aschau im Chiemgau (municipality of Frasdorf, Bavaria, Germany). A remarkable position at the heart of the Chiemgau Alps, on the northernmost foothills of the range. Capacity for 16, accessible to members of the DAV's Munich and Oberland sections. Short, easy approaches from Frasdorf and Aschau im Chiemgau make it a popular destination for hikers and Bavarian families.
