Elevation note: sources vary between 941 m, 948 m, 964 m and 994 m depending on the reference — differences in measurement or reference point. Typical alpine forest setting of the Chiemgauer Alpen: beech-fir forests, flowering alpine meadows, cultural landscapes emblematic of Bavaria. Emblematic wildlife: chamois, roe deer, red squirrel, red kite, black woodpecker, peregrine falcon on the nearby cliffs.
