Guggihütte
The place
Alpine hut of the SAC Interlaken section, located at 2791 m altitude on the north face of the Mönch and the Jungfraujoch, at Lauterbrunnen (Bernese Oberland, Switzerland). Opened on 7 August 1910. View over the Bernese Prealps and the Plateau as far as Chasseral. On a rocky spur, a base for ascents of the Mönch (via the Nollen) and the Jungfrau (via the Silberhorn), two classic routes. 24 beds, open all year round, staffed on weekends from mid-June to end of September.

A bit of history
La cabane actuelle a été inaugurée le 7 août 1910, sous le Mönch, à 2791 mètres d'altitude. Elle a succédé à une première construction bâtie entre 1874 et 1893 à 2380 mètres d'altitude, abandonnée car trop humide et englacée jusqu'en plein été.
A word from the warden
Cette cabane offre vingt-quatre places de couchage en dortoir. Elle est gardée les week-ends de début ou mi-juin à fin septembre ; en dehors de cette période, elle reste ouverte toute l'année en mode non gardé.
