DOC "Standard" category hut at ~716 m in the Havelock Valley (Te Kahui Kaupeka Conservation Park, Mid and South Canterbury, South Island, New Zealand). Located on the true right bank of the Havelock, just upstream from Growler Creek, near an old airstrip. Originally a private building that passed into DOC public estate; refurbished by the South Canterbury Recreational Sportsmans Club with support from local businesses. 8 bunks, water and toilets. Not to be confused with other "Growler Hut" listings in the Marlborough Sounds.
