The place
Self-catering hut at about 2000 m (DB lists 1953 m) on the west side of the Kühtai winter-sports resort, at the entrance to the high-alpine Mittal valley, in a clearing amid a larch forest (Stubai Alps, Tyrol). About 42 km from Innsbruck. Built in 1960, modernized and renovated over time. Capacity 30 people in 7 rooms. Equipped kitchen: large fridge, large 4-burner gas range plus electric oven, dishwasher, freezer, slicer, water heater, coffee machine, enough crockery and cutlery for 30 people. Free WiFi. Non-motorized access: fenced car park by the Kühtai regional road, luggage carried by cargo cable car, 15-30 min walk up a 3 m-wide trail (max 18% grade). Included in the price: gas, hot water, luggage transport, sewage treatment plant, electricity, waste management. Firewood extra.
