The place
FFCAM chalet-refuge at 1321 m on the western slope of the Mont d'Or, in the Jura Mountains, at the Métabief resort. Capacity 30 beds spread across 4 dormitories: Dortoir (12), Bellevue (6), Morond (4), Paradis (8). Staffed or supervised every weekend and during school holidays by volunteers. Open year-round. In winter, isolated and accessible only by cross-country ski or snowshoe (30 min), or via the ski lifts. In summer, access by forest track. At the heart of the Métabief resort's ski and mountain-bike trails, near the Mont d'Or paragliding site, on the GR5 (summer) and the GTJ (winter). Central heating, showers, drying room.
