Grindaflethytta
The place
DNT self-service cabin built in 1972 on the shore of Lake Grindafletvatn in the municipality of Voss (Vestland, Norway), at about 1086 m altitude. Run by Voss Utferdslag, it is a fine base in the mountain range between Raundalen and the Sognefjord, an outstanding playground for hiking and skiing. Fourteen beds spread between the main building (8 beds) and the annex cabin (6 beds). Common room with a wood stove, fully equipped kitchen, solar lighting and propane hobs. Shortest access from Fyre near Stalheim (15 km, 900 m of ascent); marked summer trails towards Stalheim Hotel, Undredal, Flåm, Upsete and Kårdal fjellstove. Return trip to Ramsøynuten in 3-4 h.

From Fyre (Stalheim): 15 km, +900 m, ~6-7 h. Trails towards Flåm, Undredal, Upsete and Kårdal. Train + Bergensbanen boat also accessible.
