Serviced 20-bunk hut managed by the Department of Conservation (DOC) in the Greenstone and Caples Conservation Areas, Otago region, Queenstown/Wakatipu sector (South Island, New Zealand), at 559 m altitude. Rates until June 30, 2026: NZD 25/night adult, NZD 12.50 youth (5-17 years), free under 5. Backcountry Hut Pass accepted only from May 1 to September 30. Online booking required (openings up to June 30, 2027), no space held for walk-ins; same-day arrivals possible until 8 p.m. subject to availability. Water and toilets accessible to hut occupants and to campers at the neighboring Greenstone Campsite (booking also required for camping).
