Grange

The place

Pastoral and forest shelter known as "Grange" at 1981 m in the Beaufortain massif (Savoie). Building in very poor condition, unsteady on its foundations, without equipment: half the structure no longer has a roof. The other half has a dirt-floor entrance open to the wind where a few bivouackers can take refuge, and a wooden-floored area. Corrugated metal roof covering 3/4 of the building. To be used only in very bad weather as a last resort.
