The place

Self-service DNT Trondhjems Turistforening cabin in the Sylan massif, municipality of Tydal (Trøndelag, Norway), at 595 metres elevation. Put into service in 1972, replacing the accommodation used at Hilmogrenda between 1950 and 1966; rebuilt in 1988. Twelve beds, seven of which can be booked in advance. Facilities: 12 beds, fireplace, wood stove, outdoor toilets, a dog kennel in the outbuilding. Water from the nearest water point. A good base for weekend trips, one hour's steep climb from Gressli.
