Gorge River Hut

The place

Standard 6-bunk DOC hut at 11 m in the Jackson Bay - Gorge River area (West Coast, New Zealand). No DOC track: self-sufficient navigation with map/compass/GPS required. Unbridged river crossings are dangerous: do not cross when in flood. No booking: Standard ticket (adults $10, youth $5, under 4 free) or Backcountry Hut Pass.
