The place

Glaðheimar tourist estate in the village of Blönduós, on the banks of the Blanda river (north Iceland, on the Ring Road). A group of 20 commercial cabins totalling 110 spots, in various sizes from 2 to 10 people. Most have a private bathroom, a terrace with a hot geothermal tub and barbecue; some include a private sauna. Private kitchens, lounges and terraces, outdoor pool, free parking. Open year-round. Unrelated to a free-access hiking refuge.
