Basic DOC bivouac with two bunks located at 1250 m in the Kokatahi and Whitcombe rivers area, near Hokitika (West Coast). Free open access. The approach route is no longer actively maintained by DOC: occasional clearing by the Permolat association, navigation and technical skills recommended.
