The place

A vindskydd (open shelter) located in the Florarna nature reserve, Östhammar municipality (Uppsala County, Sweden). Coordinates: 60.27234° N, 17.82883° E. Capacity for two people: wood-burning fire pit and two L-shaped benches for sleeping. Outdoor facilities: toilet, grill area, firewood provided. Water source present (quality unknown). Swimming possible via a path beyond the shelter, but conditions are difficult (muddy bottom with logs and stones). Site within a protected nature reserve: specific rules on camping, wood collection and fires must be observed.
