The place

DNT hut located at 630 metres elevation in the Sognefjorden area, in Fortunsdalen (Luster municipality, former Sogn og Fjordane, Vestland, Norway). Total capacity of 31 beds: 23 beds in the main stone lodge (Steinstova) and 8 beds in the converted barn (Fjøsen). Individual beds in rooms 1 and 4 can be booked; for groups or school classes, contact by SMS at 480 77 262 (Kari Ødegård). Catering service every day from 27 June to 16 August, weekends only for the rest of the season. Open for overnight stays from 1 May to 31 October, closed from 1 November to 1 May due to ice and avalanche risk. A lovely day trip from Fortun or Turtagrø.
