Fromatthütte
The place
The Fromatthütte is a cabin of the Swiss Alpine Club, Wildhorn section, perched on the Alpe de Fromatt above Blankenburg in the municipality of Zweisimmen. It stands within the Spillgerten nature reserve, in the heart of the Bernese Prealps. The building has two large dormitory rooms totaling 20 beds. The seasonal warden, present on weekends from late June to late September, provides catering. Outside the staffed season, the cabin remains accessible on a self-catering basis. The setting combines alpine pastures, limestone cliffs, and protected wildlife typical of the reserve.

Access from Blankenburg (municipality of Zweisimmen) via the alpine pasture trails of the Spillgerten massif.
