Frischaufov dom na Okrešlju
The place
Refuge at 1,396 m in the Okrešelj glacial cirque, below the north face of the Rinka and Turska Gora, overlooking the upper Logarska dolina (Kamnik-Savinja Alps, Slovenia). Managed by the Planinsko Društvo Celje. Glacial cirque with remarkable geomorphology and colorful alpine flora. Refuge present on the site since 1876: the original hut was swept away by an avalanche, and its replacement burned down in 2019. New structure under construction; in the meantime, a small wooden hut offers drinks only. Historical capacity of 78 beds, season from May to late September once the hut is rebuilt.
