The place
The Fridolinshütte is a Swiss Alpine Club hut, Tödi section, at 2111 m altitude at the foot of the Tödi, in the Glarus Alps south of Linthal (Glarus). Built of stone on the Bifertenalpli between Ochsenstock and Bifertenfirn, it can host up to 55 guests in dormitories with duvets provided. It is a classic base for climbing the Tödi in both summer and winter. Access from Tierfed in 4h or from Linthal in 5h30. Next to the hut, a small lake allows for swimming.
