Basic two-bunk bivouac managed by the Department of Conservation (DOC) in the Kokatahi and Whitcombe rivers area, West Coast (South Island, New Zealand), at 1,289 meters elevation. Free access. Unstaffed DOC shelter on the Frew Saddle crossing, back-country tracks with possible river crossings; navigation by map, compass or GPS.
