Freisinger Hütte

The place

Self-service hut of the Freising section of the Deutscher Alpenverein (DAV), at 1,050 metres elevation in the Längental between Bad Tölz and Lenggries (Bayerische Voralpen, Bavaria, Germany). Fifteen beds spread across two mattress dormitories. No catering on site. Key handout at the DAV Freising office on Thursdays from 6:30 to 7:30 pm (25 € deposit); booking reserved for DAV members, maximum booking window 3 months in advance, groups limited to 15 people. First-time rental must be preceded by an orientation session with the hut wardens. Parking at the Längental hiking parking area (4 € per 24h); the rear parking area is now private and inaccessible. 2026 rates: DAV members 0-8 €/night depending on age, non-members 6-20 €. No pets allowed.
