The place

Freilassinger Hütte: An Idyllic Mountain Lodging Freilassinger Hütte is a hut run by the Freilassing section of the German Alpine Club. Sitting at 1,550 m elevation, on the southern edge of the Tennengebirge massif, this hut was built in 1934 and is run as a self-catering base. It serves as a starting point for many climbing routes, circuits, and traverses, as well as for hikes across the mountain plateau. In winter, ski touring is possible, and a ski slope passes nearby.
