Standard DOC hut with 4 bunks at 1,150 m in Mount Richmond Forest Park (Marlborough, NZ), east of Fosters Clearing, overlooking Blenheim and the lower Wairau Valley. Built in 1967. Access from Kiwi Road: ~2 h via a 7 km track, after turning off SH 6 onto Northbank Road (4.9 km north of Renwick), then Onamalutu Road becoming Kiwi Road. No booking: Standard ticket (adults $10, youth $5, under 4 free) or Backcountry Hut Pass. Sounds road conditions degraded by recent weather: check before departing.
