The place
Staffed Swiss Alpine Club hut at 2,574 m on the Forno glacier, in the upper Engadine (Grisons). Seventy-five beds in season, four spots in the winter room. A base for the traverse to the Disgrazia (3,678 m), the range's highest point, and the classic mountaineering routes of the massif. Access from Maloja or Plaun da Lej, climbing the Forcola.

Construite en 1889 par le chimiste Theodor Curtius et le guide de montagne Christian Klucker ; passée sous la propriété de la section Rorschach du Club Alpin Suisse (CAS) en 1920.
