The place

Small National Trust bothy, a basic alternative to camping, located at Lynton in Devon (United Kingdom), close to the South West Coast Path on the edge of Exmoor National Park. Four sleeping spots on raised platforms: one double (4'6") and two singles, on which visitors lay their own mattresses or air beds. "Camping within walls": minimal facilities, to be supplemented with your own gear. Among the darkest skies in Europe, ideal for stargazing.
