The place

Standard hut du DOC à 10 couchettes dans le Ka Whata Tu o Rakihouia Clarence Conservation Park (Marlborough sud). Accès principal via Blind Saddle Road : depuis Kaikoura, 5 km au sud sur SH1 jusqu'à l'embranchement Waiau/Mt Lyford, puis 25 km à l'intérieur jusqu'au parking pont Kahutara River. Barrière verrouillée — accès motorisé via Colin Nimmo / Muzzle Station avec redevance entretien. Route fermée l'hiver. Pas de réservation, tarifs (jusqu'au 30 juin 2026) 10/5 NZ$ adulte/jeune via Standard Hut Ticket (honesty box) ou Backcountry Hut Pass. Carte NZTopo50 (E1633015, N5325529).
