The place

Unstaffed DNT cabin at 972 m, above the treeline in the Breheimen (Vestland), between Vigdalsstølen and Navarsete. The panoramic Fivlenosi summit (1466 m) rises right alongside, with views over the Jotunheimen and neighbouring ranges. A two-building complex with twenty sleeping places in total: Nye hytta (twelve beds, built in 2000) and Gamla hytta (eight beds). Amenities: wood stoves, gas burners, solar power system. Dogs allowed only in Gamla hytta. Water drawn from the nearby river. Open year-round, unlocked. Rates, member/non-member: NOK 40/80 for a day visit, NOK 345/520 per adult per night, NOK 170/335 for youths aged 13-26, free/NOK 240 for children aged 4-12. Booking via the online DNT system; payment also accepted via Vipps (106547) or bank transfer.
