Eyberg-Hütte
The place
A hut at 461 m on the Eyberg-Tour, in the heart of the Dahner Felsenland (southern Pfälzerwald, Rhineland-Palatinate), near the Großer Eyberg (513 m), the highest point of the Dahner Felsenland. The 18 m-high Eyberg-Turm steel-framed observation tower, standing at the summit, was built by the French military between 1945 and 1949. A stage on the Eyberg-Tour trail, connected to the Dahner Hütte "Im Schneiderfeld". The Pfälzerwald-Verein (PWV) network has more than 110 huts and inns built in the Pfalz since 1904 — to be confirmed whether this hut is managed by the PWV or by the local Naturfreunde of Pirmasens.
