The place

Six-bunk hut operated by the New Zealand Deerstalkers' Association, Rakaia branch, in the Rangitata and Rakaia rivers area (Canterbury). Map NZTopo50 BW18 (E1440176, N5208462). Suggested donation of NZ$10 per person per night, to be left in the honesty box or paid by email (nzdarakaia@gmail.com). Caution advised for unbridged river crossings.
