The place
Swiss Alpine Club guarded hut at 2,052 m in the Maderanertal (Uri), managed by the Thurgau section of the SAC. Seventy-four beds in season, two in the winter room. The hut is currently undergoing major renovation and closed for overnight stays; limited day service for passers-by during the works. Reopening expected in summer 2027. During the closure, a secure four-person shelter remains available by reservation. Distinctive facilities: hot tub with alpine views, gneiss climbing gardens, seminar room.
