The place
Rustic shelter managed as part of the Sentiers Québec-Charlevoix network, a stage of the Traversée de Charlevoix between Hautes-Gorges and St-Siméon. Located on the Orignac trail near the junction of the Bataram forest road and the Le Breton road, in the mountainous back country of Charlevoix (Québec). Usual stage after the Coyote shelter (19.7 km), also reachable from Sagard via a 22 km walk along the Bataram forest road, or 11 km from the Club Bataram entrance for self-guided hikers. Basic wooden shelter equipped for multi-day bivouac hiking, managed by reservation. Classic 4-night / 5-day itinerary via Geai Bleu, Coyote, Épervier, and Uapishtan.
Getting there
