Eiksetra is a fully staffed DNT cabin at 385 m elevation in Lier, Norway, one of the service cabin options located outside Oslo. Accessible by train to Drammen then trails to Spiraltoppen, from where you can ski back down to Eiksetra. 9 beds in three rooms. Management: Kari (eiksetra@dnt.no). Café open every Sunday year-round (closed in July). An ideal family site: a Tarzan rope course, a wild camp with shelter towards Garsjø, and a lavvu (traditional Nordic tent) that can be pre-booked. Wheelchair accessible (ramps to the toilets and main entrance).
