The place

Refuge at 2545 m at the Eisbruggjoch (Passo Ponte di Ghiaccio), in the Pfunderer Mountains (South Tyrol, Italy), part of the Zillertal Alps. In operation since 1908, when the original wooden refuge was built. In summer 2015, a new energy-self-sufficient building replaced the original structure. Varied capacity: rooms of 4, 6 and 8 beds and a small dormitory. Season from 6 June to 4 October 2026. Serves as a base for ascents of the 3000 m peaks of the Eastern Alps.
