Eade Memorial Hut

The place

Small memorial hut with 3 bunks in Aoraki/Mt Cook National Park, about an hour's walk from Red Stag Hut after crossing the Godley River. Owned by the South Canterbury branch of the New Zealand Deerstalkers' Association, which maintains it. Suggested contribution of NZ$5 per night, deposited on site or paid directly to the NZDA. The Godley crossing can be swift and heavily silt-laden — check NIWA flow data and avoid crossing in flood.
