The place
Alpine pasture hut at 1150 m in Missen-Wilhams, Oberallgäu (Bavaria), known variously as Drehers Alpe or Trähers Alpe. A family-friendly stop popular with hikers and cyclists, where homemade snacks and partly homemade drinks (elderflower soda, etc.) were served. Easy access via the Tahler Höhe Kammweg or the Wiederhofen chairlift track. Classic loops from there: Gemskopf - Trähers Alpe (Drehers Alpe) from Missen-Wilhams, or Wiederhofen → Trähers Alpe → Hirnbeinalpe → Schwandeck → Ochsenberg Alpe → Hofalpe → Geratsried. Important: the alpine pasture is closed in 2025 and no longer in operation — check before setting out.

Via the Tahler Höhe Kammweg or the Wiederhofen chairlift track.
