The place

Former intermediate alpine-pasture building at 1917 m in Allein (Aosta Valley, Italy), in the Étroubles valley on the Grand-Saint-Bernard road. Restored in 2005 to serve as a shelter for hikers. Normally locked: call the commune of Allein to collect the key. Marked route from Allein. Facilities: bunks with mattresses, dining room, kitchen, stove, bathroom with a shower, electricity.
