Standard-category DOC hut with six bunks, located at 1,172 m in a remote area of Tararua Forest Park (Wairarapa). No marked DOC track leads to it: self-navigation by map, compass, or GPS. Rate: NZD 10 adult and NZD 5 youth (5-17 years) per night, free below that age, payable with standard tickets or an annual Backcountry Hut Pass. No booking.
