The place

Self-service DNT Lillehammer cabin in the Øyerfjellet range, east of Tretten in Gudbrandsdalen. One of the stops on the Rondanestien and **the first self-service cabin on the SAGA ski route**. Capacity 18 beds: main cabin 12 beds across 3 rooms (8 bookable); Sikringsbua 6 beds (2 bookable), also serving as a dog room with bunk beds for families. Facilities: solar power for lighting and phone charging; wood stove; drying room; kitchen and windows renovated in 2017; fishing, swimming, canoeing. Summer: route from the E6 at Øyer Nord via Korsbakken, Steinsætra and Nysætra (rideable by bike). Winter: plowed road up to Steinsætra (12 km of groomed trail); alternatives from Goppollen (9 km) or the top of the Hafjell gondola. Open from 18 June to 10 April. Access with a standard DNT key.
