The place

DNT Troms Turlag cabin set high on the hillside, deep in the Dividalen valley (Indre Troms), within Øvre Dividal National Park — with open views over the valley and the peaks of Njunis (1,717 m), Kistefjell (1,632 m), and Jerta (1,428 m). Sleeps 16 across two buildings (built in 1966 and 1978), each with 2 rooms of 4 beds. Facilities: solar lighting and USB charging in the newer building, wood-burning stoves and gas cookers in both; blankets and pillows provided (bring a sleeping bag or sheet sleeping bag). Water: a marked well 30 m from the old building in winter; a mountain stream about 150 m south of the newer building in summer. Summer: toll road to Frihetsli, then a further 6 km to the parking area, followed by a 2-2.5 hour, mostly easy trail. Winter: about 13 km by ski from Frihetsli. DNT membership required for the key.
