Devils Creek Hut

The place

A DOC hut in Mount Richmond Forest Park (Marlborough), sitting in a large clearing above the Wakamarina River at 193 m altitude. About 2 h walk from Butchers Flat Campsite via the Wakamarina Track; the campsite is 10 km west of Havelock on State Highway 6. Hut with a wood burner, long-drop toilet and outdoor camping space. No bookings, payment by hut tickets or Backcountry Hut Pass in the honesty box (NZ$10/5 until June 30 2026). Check road conditions with the Marlborough District Council after recent weather events.
