Demon Trail Hut

The place

DOC serviced-category hut with twelve bunks at 14 m in the north of Fiordland National Park, on the Demon Trail along Lake McKerrow. Camping also permitted nearby. Fee 25 NZD per adult per night, 12.50 NZD for ages 5-17, free below that, payable via hut tickets deposited in the honesty box, or with an annual Backcountry Hut Pass. No booking, no beds held for walk-in arrivals. The area is subject to didymo hygiene precautions: do not carry water from the Hollyford Track between sites. Map CA09, NZTM2000 E1208211, N5061358.
