Deas Cove Hut

The place

Standard 10-bunk DOC hut at Deas Cove, Thompson Sound (Doubtful Sound, Southern Fiords area of Fiordland National Park), at 14 m. Boat access only — vessels arriving from outside must obtain a Clean Vessel Pass and keep a hull free of marine pests (Fiordland Marine Pathway Plan). No bookings; payment by hut tickets or Backcountry Hut Pass (NZ$10/5 until 30 June 2026).
