Damous al-Rmeh ("Damous of the Sand") in the Nalut district, Nalut/Kabaw sector (Jebel Nafusa, Tripolitania, Libya), at 376 m elevation, Berber plateau. Continuous Libya cluster (batches 252-304). COUNTRY ANOMALY: Libya missing. A "damous" is an old Berber rainwater cistern carved into limestone rock, heritage of the Ibadi Berbers of Jebel Nafusa (a minority Amazigh identity persecuted under Gaddafi 1969-2011, cultural resistance of the Tamazight language).
