Comyns Hut

The place

Basic DOC hut located at 860 m in Hakatere Conservation Park (Mid and South Canterbury), built in 1957. Free access, no charge. On the Te Araroa route: long-distance hikers must purchase the dedicated Te Araroa Trail Pass before use. Stage between A Frame Hut (2 h 30, 5.2 km) and Double Hut (8 h, 16 km).
