The place
Staffed refugi at 1980 m in the Alt Pirineu Natural Park, Orri massif (Pallars Sobirà, Catalonia). Capacity of 50 places, dining room with hearth, hot-water shower. The only isolated high-mountain hut in Pallars Sobirà open throughout the snowy winter season. From 1 May to 15 November, vehicle access via forest track; in winter, access by snowshoe or ski touring. Marked walking access: 5 km from Rubió; 6 km from the Coll del Port del Cantó. A base for climbing the Pic de l'Orri via various routes and for winter hiking.
