Coire Fionnaraich Bothy
The place
Bothy maintained by the Mountain Bothies Association, tucked beneath the Munro of Maol Chean-dearg in Glen Carron, near Strathcarron. Also known as Coulags, it's one of the more comfortable bothies in the Highlands: four rooms across two floors, a wood stove upstairs, a sink with a drainer, working toilets, and three well-drawing fireplaces. The estate often leaves a store of wood for passing visitors. Views of Maol Chean-dearg, Ben Dàmh, and the silhouette of Liathach. Typical wildlife around Loch Coire Fionnaraich (dippers, wheatears, stonechats). Access from the Coulags car park on the A890, west of the bridge, then a trail toward Glen Torridon.
